QUESTIONS ABOUT FLORIDA FISHING? READ ON . . .
What do I wear?
We suggest light colored, quick-dry clothing. Long sleeves and long pants provide better sun protection. A fleece and wind/waterproof jacket will protect against cold wind and passing rain showers. Flats booties or teva sandals are fine for wading in the backcountry. Don't forget to bring your polarized sunglasses.
What Tackle Should I Bring?
For Redfish and Snook: 7, 8, and 9 weight fly rods; floating fly lines.
For Tarpon, Jacks, and Cobia: 10, 11 and 12 weight fly rods and tarpon taper intermediate fly lines and floating fly lines.
As always, ask us when booking trips, and we'll recommend the right tackle for you to bring. Of course, we do provide tackle if you prefer.
What Flies Do I Need?
For Redfish and Snook: Clouser Minnows, Seducers, Crab Imitations, Shrimp Imitations, Lefty's Deceivers, Enrico Flies, Poppers, Sliders, or Divers
For Tarpon: Crab patterns or large colorful streamers tied on Gamakatsu or Owner Hooks
